they've moved out of our tub....
and into the chicken coop....
can't wait to see them runnin' around outside....they're so darn cute!
I love cleaning my home....it's a chore I truly find rewarding....after all....there's nothing better than a sparkling, organized and clean smelling home.
And I love these products....Mrs. Meyers....the Basil scent is my favorite.
And this is how I keep my cleaning supplies corralled....in a tin bucket. It's much roomier than those cleaning caddies you usually see...and looks prettier too....don't you think?
And this book helps me clean....green. It has great cleaning tips....and wonderful ways to use more environmentally friendly products.

well....here's my version....
I already had the side tables in the garage....as well as the chair....
and the mirrors too....so this was a pretty fast and inexpensive makeover....I did it all in 2 days....the only things purchased for the makeover....the side table lamp and bedding....I already had the paint....I love how it looks now....fresh and farmy feelin'....don't ya think? I have a before photo of when the previous owners lived here...but forgot to post it....I'll put it up soon so you can see the changes I made. Our room is rather small...but that's okay with me....because I'm not one for clutter....as you can tell from the walls....no pictures or art....I have a hard time putting things on walls sometimes....for me....it seems that they make rooms look more busy and distract you from what you should be focusing on....the bed.
and I won....this amazing necklace from Lisa Leonard Designs....well....not this necklace exactly....this one is from her website....but one that I got to personalize. I was so excited to win....as I'm not much of a jewelry person...but the simple style of this necklace is so me.
Okay...so do you remember this post...were I told you that my husband calls me dude....here's one of the reasons why.
To say I love this bedding...would be an understatment...
because I r.e.a.l.l.y. love this bedding....well....the whole room for that matter....and it got me thinkin'....I need a bedroom makeover.
I purchased the bedding a couple months ago...and finally got around to painting the room this week. In 2 days....I have transformed our bedroom into a farmhouse retreat...well...at least I think so. The great thing about the makeover....with the exception of purchasing the bedding and bedside lighting....I had everything I needed already for the makeover...the paint was left over....the tables were in the garage....and the mirrors were in my hallway....funny how you can bring things together when your inspired. The last photo shows you a peek at what's to come next week.
Oh....but before we see the new dining room....lets take a look back....at what it looked like before....below is what the room looked like when the previous owners lived in it....here's were we began....
and this is what we've done with it....Mr. Wonderful....built me this....a window seat....
and he built me a bookshelf....
one for each side....
and here it is all pulled together....
I painted the table white....and filled the shelves....with baskets and ironstone....there's still some tweaking to be done....I'm not really good at putting vignettes together....but it works for me....for now....and don't mind the patchy walls....I haven't painted the walls yet....I'll be doing that later this week....they'll be painted Simply White by B.Moore.
get this one {in the nickle finish} from Pottery Barn....I really like that it's simple and classic looking....a lot like this old farmhouse.
