To animals.....I can't help myself....and when I say I....I mean my hubby and I....it doesn't help that neither one of us can resist....anything furry....feathery....or fluffy.
You see....when we ordered our chickens a couple months ago....4 of our babies didn't make it....which made us very sad....we tried our best to get them better....but sadly....our efforts didn't work.
So....this week we went for a ride to a neighboring town....and we found these beauties {please excuse the chicken BA....she's a little racey}....they are Frizzle Bantams {hopefully}....which means their feathers will look frizzled {like a perm gone bad}...how cute is that. I've actually been wanting Frizzles for some time...but was never able to find any locally....until this week.Oh.....and we also brought home....
these cuties....okay....I told you we're addicted. Meet....Annabelle and Genevive....our baby goslings....aren't they adorable....we believe they're Toulouse geese....which means they're french....now we can say we're part french ;o) They weren't as eager to do a photo shoot....so they're just kickin' it in their brooder.Okay....I'll stop rambling about our new babies....and just wish you all....
a wonderful weekend!
xoxo, Andrea

We are building a coop this spring. I finally got my husband to agree to it. I can't wait to sit out in the garden watching the chickens cluck and scratch. Now I need him to agree to the AirStream!

It is always good to pick up a second language and anything to keep one busy is key. They are too cute and make my day. Have a good one.
ReplyDeleteWhy is it that every single thing born on this planet is simply irresistable; they change when they grow up ... at lease the humans do. LOL
ReplyDeleteA few times on Easter, when we were little, my two sisters and I got baby ducks. So I do understand the need and have felt the pull to bring some home again. Ours were so tame they would follow you around the yard and lay their head on your neck to be petted...
ReplyDeletequack!
Andrea, how adorable they are as babies! It's great to be able to have a place for a menagerie! Enjoy!

What a lovely blog, and gorgeous chicks. We have just started our first blog a couple of weeks ago, at the same time we incubated our first chicks! You would like our photos!
ReplyDeleteNow addicted too (thus sitting posting at 11.00 Friday night!).
They are just adorable!! We are softies for cute furry things as well. When the girls were little we brought home four colored chicks right before Easter. As time went on we had one remaining. A very mean rooster named "Pinky". Do you think it was the name that made him grumpy? :0)
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your weekend and your new little loves.
These little babies are SWEET! We're about to visit my cousin who raises chickens and pigs, and I can hardly wait. We've been talking about raising chickens for about a year now, and this will give us a chance to see what goes into it.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your new cuties. :)
Hugs,
Kate
Andrea, they are just the sweetest things! I bet they are so happy to be living with you and getting nice and spoiled. ;)

ReplyDeleteYou have a fabulous blog! The baby chicks are so sweet it makes me want some of my own!
ReplyDeleteHi, came across your blog and noticed you had a post on Pink Rose Pastries, just a note myself and several others have made purchases and never received our items. Some of us she won't even answer emails. She took $98 from me, and nothing. Just thought I'd get the word out, this is very sad, I had purchased three previous times in years past. I'm sure there are more out their in the same situation. Her online account is now suspended. Thanks for listening, Lori
ReplyDeleteare you kidding?
ReplyDeletedont' stop sharing
& you are so right...they are ADORABLE!!
oh my goodness....
I;m so with you. I adore all animals. Lovely blog you have here
ReplyDeleteThis is the first time I have visited you and I am in love with your chicks. We had 15 delivered this past Tues. We have only lost 1 and I think the rest are quite well. It is our first attempt at raising chickens so I was not expecting one to die on me. I was very sad for a few hours. But the rest are becoming quite fun to watch with all their antics so I think they will be fine.
