Last Friday....Stella and I went thrifting....and here's the loot we brought home....

Most of the stuff will be making it's way to my space at the antique mall....although....a couple sweet things have already made themselves at home here....I actually really loved everything....but a girl can only have so many typewriters...fans...and jars.

Loves vintage fans and typewriters...we can have too many?

I love all your finds. Hot air balloons are so amazing. My best memory of those great balloons - when I was a kid I was swimming in the lake when all of a sudden a hot air balloon appeared from behind the tree tops and flew right overhead. It was really neat!
ReplyDeleteohh you did good, I think Stella is a good luck charm!! :) Just curious how come you don't list those precious goods on your website! :)
ReplyDeleteSeriously? You found those thrifting?? Man, I am coming w/ you next time! I have never even seen any fans or old typewriters at any thrift stores around here...and if there were they would have them priced higher than an antique store! Great loot girl!

I love the mason jars, I kind of have an addiction for them- I can just see them bursting with spring blossoms.
ReplyDeleteoh my heart just skipped a beat. i love those old fans. i only have one but want more. great finds.
ReplyDeleteGreat loot that you and Stella found, Andrea. That hot air balloon looks heavenly! We rarely see a few in the sky around our farmhouse, but when we do, it is quite magical.
ReplyDeletegreat finds. I to love to collect jars...mainly mason jars. The greenish blue ones with the zinc lids.
ReplyDeleteWe love hot air balloons. We have a running joke in our family. When we first moved into our old house we were driving around our new neighborhood to get acquainted with the area. Then my husband saw a hot air balloon and he decided to follow it. Needless to say we got lost as we followed this hot air balloon, but it was fun getting to know the area we lived in. So now when we see a hot air balloon, we all shout, "don't do it!"
I love all your treasures..I am so mad at myself for passing up a vintage fan..never will I pass up another one. Hugs to you.xoxo
ReplyDeletegreat post!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous view of the balloon ~ and fab finds! Sounds like the right kind of day ~ Rebecca
ReplyDeleteWhen I saw your new finds I instantly thought of The Waltons...John Boy sitting at the typewritter, Mama & Grandma canning in the kitchen, hot summer nights on that porch...Yes I LOVE the Waltons (the house is perfect)!
ReplyDeleteBest wishes,
Tammy
Andrea, I have passed on more vintage fans but I think I need one now! Thanks for the inspiration.
ReplyDeletekelley
I love the fan! The picture you took of it is awesome:) How fun are those hot air balloons?? Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteHi Andrea,
ReplyDeleteBoy, looking at the fans and typewriters takes me back to my younger days. I used to have an OLD Royal typewriter (wrote all my college term papers on that), and one of those pretty fans too.
Thanks for the memories,
Kate
great finds! We get hot air balloons too. They freak our dog out though. Fair enough, it's a large object flying through the air!!
ReplyDeletegreat fans!
ReplyDeleteHelicopters, Airplanes and Hot Air Balloons...all called "air therapy" in this house. Love the pictures!! Thanks for sharing them with us!
